Starting out
When you first start out eating healthier,
don't worry about being perfect.
Enjoy transitioning and take your time. Make things that taste
good to substitute for your old comfort foods. As you start eating better, you will start feeling better and old habits
will fall away.
The more you eat more raw
foods, the more you will start to crave simple, fresh raw foods!
It feels so good!
You don't have to give anything up! Rather,
focus on what you can keep adding in your day!
Set some simple disciplines for yourself that you will do each day.
I will eat a big green leafy salad today.
I will drink one quart of green smoothie today.
I will drink a green juice today.
I will learn one new recipe each week.
I will eat fruit for breakfast.
I will excercise 15 minutes today.
Pick some goals you can start with and keep adding new ones until the good crouds out the other
then desirable foods and habits!
Get your hands on as many resources as you can!
Buy, borrow or go to your library and have them order as many books as you can on raw foods. Ask your video store to
cary a copy of different raw food DVDs. Google and learn as much as you can online. Even if every person you talk
to or read about is doing things differently, hear what they have to say and look at the results they are getting. Not
everyone is going to respond the exact same way to different foods or eating styles. Find your own path! Try to
avoid getting caught up in ideas and ideals, rather, focus on results. Learn to listen to your bodys many
signals that let you know when something is working or not.
